The anti-wall committee spokesman, Mohammed Awad, said that Israeli forces accompanied with a bulldozer surrounded the town and raided its neighborhoods in search of ten armed settlers who were witnessed wandered through the streets of the town carrying military machine guns .
Awad added that while Israeli settlers rushed through the town, a state of panic was created among Palestinian civilians in fear of being attacked especially in these cold winter days.
Israeli soldiers intensified their existence around the town and its entrances as well as tightened their security measures; no injures or detentions were reported till this moment.
The Israeli assault came as a response to the weekly non-violent protests against the construction of the wall and the confiscation of the Palestinian lands in Bait Ummer town and other villages of the West Bank.
